# Codegen - How do I link my account?

## Overview

To authenticate with Codegen, you need:

1. **Token** - A token that grants Nango permission to interact with Codegen's APIs resources and services.

This guide will walk you through obtaining your token from Codegen.

### Prerequisites:

* You must have an account with Codegen.

### Instructions:

#### Step 1: Finding your token

1. Go to [developer settings](https://codegen.sh/token) to generate an API token
2. Click "Generate token".
3. Copy the generated token key and store it securely.

#### Step 2: Enter credentials in the Connect UI

Once you have your **Token**:

1. Open the form where you need to authenticate with Codegen.
2. Enter your **Token** in its designated field.
3. Submit the form, and you should be successfully authenticated.

You are now connected to Codegen.
